What Does it Mean to be SAVED?

This post is not exhaustive in any way, but does provide a glimpse into the definition of the ensuing question: What does it mean to be saved? Have you ever heard of the term “SAVED” and thought, SAVED from what?  What does SAVED mean?  Well, in biblical terms, it can mean many different things depending on the context of the scriptural passage. In the general sense, it might mean for a thing to be preserved or rescued from harm or simply kept, guarded, or stored away for stockpiling or protection.  For instance, people oftentimes speak of money that they have “SAVED” for a rainy day, rather than squandering it on frivolous purchases.  This is a common usage of the word, and it is likely not thought twice about as to the meaning of the word in everyday dialogue.  In another sense, you may have read the news or heard of a story about a person who was cast from a ship overboard at night into the perilous waves of the ocean, treading water for countless minutes, without hope, nearly drown

What did Lucifer plan in his heart? Isaiah 14:12-15 “How art thou fallen from heaven, O  Lucifer , son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst wea
